A NATIONAL LOCK-OUT.
(Received Juno 3rd, 10.55 p.m.) I.ONMJN, Juno 3. The executive of the _>uildcrs' Federation will consider the question of * national lock-out on Tuesday. MIDLAND COLLIER*.' DISPUTE. (Received June 4th, 12.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 3. The position on the -uaitland coalfield is unchanged. A conference of colliery proprietors will be held on Friday to consider the question of the afternoon shift. The miners decided to-day to send a deputation to the Minister of Mines to urge an amendment to the Mining Act. Tho statement is made that the miners aro determined to secure the abolition of the afternoon shift. The Victorian _ Coal Miners' Association has promised ita assistance in this direction.
