"f< Tho first Canterbury Miniature Rifle Shooting Championship Meeting, which was inaugurated'by the Aahburton AssocM.ion last year, proved, such a. success, and the entries were so. large,--that';the. Association" decided to. make .it an . annual fixture, ..and the second gathering •waa held' on the rang- yesterday. The meeting was divided into two sections —a teams' championship claea and a*i individual championship class, and in addition ia series of sweepstakes was held. Tha entries this year -Mily outnumberedthose of. lost year, the .individual .champ-onohij? totalling 235, and. the .A., teams .47,,. »a against 150 and; 39., Additional interest waa lent by the entry of five ladies' teams..
