Rain, sleet, and enow foil at intervals, the .Tack in consequence being very heavy. Bespit, tk© unpropitious 'weather thero waa a good attendance of the public, and £17,818 was passed through tho machine, as against i17,05_ ior the corresponding day last year. Coooon and Otaio had to he destroyed as a Jesuit of the injuries they sustained in their respective races. IteBulte:—

Cocoon fell at the entrance to the straight and broke his leg, and efcot his rider "over the rails. Simon Pure bumped into Cococn and felL Kirn led Merrie Valet past the stand, where Salathiel nearly c<wne down, and Kurnalpi was runnim. last. Kirn led over the mile jump, with Lord Frederick nest. Then camo Freak and Kurnaipi. Pure Gold moved up, but with five furlongs to go Lord Frederick nearly caught Puro Gold, but .the latter away again at the three furlong mark. Kurnalpi challenged Kirn, and the pair raced weil clear into the straight, where M.rgo joined them. Kurnalpi at onoo tired, and .-..argo and Kirn fought out a desperate finish. True Blue was in chars-© approaching tho water jump, with Black Sea. .and Sportsman lying next, and Black Sea led over the hedge at the bottom of the etraight from True .Blue. Crossing the stand double Black Sea waa just in front of Sportsman and True. Blue and The Gunner in that order, Renee being tho only other horse standing up. Going to tbe pest and rails Soorisman led Black'sea and Tho Gunner. Black Sea unseated her rider ct the sod wall, ar.d comin. on to tho 1 board fence- Sportsman, True Rhie, and Tho o-unner were in close order. Renee, who was lying handy, threw on. a challenge at tho post -aid rails at tho four furlong post. Zingabee threw out at this obstacle, and when on th© flat Ot.hou wore down Tolstoi and boat him by two lengths; The Jew half a dozen lengths away. Theso were the only horses to finish.
