GRIEVANCES OF GENERAL LABOURERS' UNION.
(PEISS ASSOCIATION TET_CSAU.) DUNEDIN, June 2. A deputation, representing General Labourers llnion waited on the Prime Minister this morning. One speaker said that people got into the Labour Department who should not be there. The General Labourers had never been represented on the staff, aa.l there should be a practical man there from their ranks. Another speaker said tho GeneraLabourers should have a representative in the Labour Bureau. The Secretary of the Union alleged tliat breaches of the Labourers' award had been committed, and no action taken. Mr Massey said he would look into the complaints regarding administration, and do his best to remedy them. Tbe Department would be administered fairly and impartially while he was at its head.
