The Houso of Commons passed an amendment to tho Shipping Act providing for a separate Commission to investigate tho disaster. Sir Wilfrid Laiirier, Leader. of the Opposition, endorsed the Bill, which was read a second time, and tho third reading fixed for tho following day. Tho amendment provides for the appointment of tho Canadian Admiralty judges above-mentioned.
