LICENSING COMMITTEES

I KAIAPOI. The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Licensing Committee was held yesterday. Present—Messrs T. A. B. Bailey, S.M: (chairman). Charles Leich, J. W. Foster, F. Horrell, T. P. Mably, and J. L. Wilson. The police reports were satisfactory. A transfer of the license of the Commercial Hotel, Oxford, from Edward Hill to Frederick W. Glasson (Mr Cassidy), was agreed to. The following: licenses were granted for Kaiapoi:—David Richardson. Pier; Joseph Lister. Mandeville, and Thomas McGrath. Kaikanni. x For Rangiora: B P. Edwards, Junction; Cornelius Byrne. Red Lion; John Manaton (Mr Hoban). Plough. For Oxford: Fredk. W. Glasson, Commercial Hotel; J. McClnre, Harewood Arms. For Cust: John Fraser, Halfway House. For Woodend: R. T. Day, Royal. For Southbrook: George Hord, Masonic. For Belfast: John Barry, Seven Mile Peg. For New Brighton: J. B. MoPherson, Bower. On the question of extinguishing hotel public lamps, it was decided that the regulation , remain ; also that the granting of conditional licenses be continued.
