AMBERLEY STOCK SALE.
The fortnightly sale was held yesterday. There was a yarding of about 1000 sheep, of which 800 were fats. Ewes realised from 9s to 18s, wethers from 17s 6d to 18s 2d, lambs from 17s to 19s 7d. Pigs, of which there was a small entry, brought: Weaners 14s 6d to 21s, porkers 30s. The principal sales wero:—Ewes—M. D. Wilson 17s lid, J. Lawcock 17s lOd, G. A. Wornall lis sd, A. S. George I4_ 9d.. Wethers—A. S. George, 18s 2d, C. N. Hamilton 17s 6d. Lambs—Mrs Sutton, 149 at 19s od, 39. at 18s 4d- G. L. Stead, 28 at 18s; J. Lawcock, 27_at 18s 7d; J. Bowfield, 42 at 18s; Broomfield Estate, 51s at 17s 9d; H. H. McLean, 48 at 18s «d, 37 at 19s 7d; W. Hale, 91 at 18s: A. George, 55 at 15s 4d; F. Coleman, 27 at 17s od.
