For the greater part of last week tho weather in the Glentunnel district was beautifully fine. There were heavy frosts at night, succeeded Ly gloriously calm, sunny days. Towards the end of
the week, however, the barometer began to fa!.", but Friday and Saturday were warm, with light Sreezcs from the north-west. Shortly aft.r noon on Sunday, a violent north-west gale came up, arid raged with great violence throughout the afternoon. Towards evening heavy rain began to fall, and continued for some hours. So far as can bo seen, _t present, tho galo has dono little damage.
