SATURDAY'S RESULTS. Merivale (6) v. Sydenham (5). Christchurch (14) v. Marists <12). Old Boys (13) v. Albion (3). Linwood.(B) v. 'Varsity (8). The weather was beautifully fine on Saturday afternoon for tho continuation of the Canterbury Rngby Union's competitions, and the Senior matches played at Lancaster Park attracted a very good attendance. There was plenty of interest about t_o games, for Merivale, the .leaders in the Senior Championship, had to struggle hard to beat Sydenham by a point,, after tho latter had led for more than three parte of the game. The match on the South ground between Christchurch and Marists had a sensational finish. The latter were leading by 12 points to 3, with, only five minutes* to go, but Christchurch came with a great burst, and won on the call of time by 14 points to 12. On the West ground, Old Boys had not a great deal of difficulty in beating Albion by 13 points to 3. At Linwood Park, Linwood and 'Varsity played a drawn game. Linwood were leading by 8 points to nil less than ten minutes before time, but a strong attack by 'Varsity in th© ..hist few minutes enabled them to equalise tho scores.
