"A robbery was committed at the premises of Mr T. D. Jones. High street, on Thursday night. The thieves effected an entrance by forcing open the front door, and abstracted from tho stoei; a variety of goods, among which were a plug of tobacco weighing about lfilb, several packages of tea, twenty pounds of cheese, boxes of sardines, etc. From tho condition in which the premises were found it was evident that the store had been ransacked in search of money, as the drawers and desks were broken open, and the books and papers scattered over the floor."
