DUNEDIN.. May 29. Mr T. W. Whiteon's nine-roomed residence ia George street was practically destroyed by fire this morning. The furniture was badly damaged, but a valuable library was saved. Some of the occupant* had a narrow escape. The house was insured for .£SOO. and the contents for £600.
