THE PRICE OF BREAD.

TO THE UDITOB. OF "THE FRE3S." Sir,—l am surprised no one as yet has raised his voice at tho excessive charge for bread. The harvest lies been plentiful, and yet this millers' combine is allowed to crush the worker and many like myself earning only the minimum wage, and with a houseful of children. Cannot tho Government start a State bakery? or, if they cannot do that, at least remit the duty on Australian flour? This. I hope, would bring tho combine and bakers to their bearings. Trusting to hear more on this matter.—Yours, etc.. BOTTOM DOG.
