"LIBERALS" AND POLICE.

TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PBES3."

Sir,—Mr Witty, when addressing his constituency, boasted that there were no police present, and that a Reformer daro not address them without police protection. Surely, there must bo something "wrong in the state of Denmark, because a member of Parliament should bo ashamed, instead of boasting, about a constituency that would not hear the other eido of the question without the necessity of police protection.—Yours, etc., W. FITZHENRY.
