LONDON, May 28

The Eon. T. Mackenzie had a lengthy conference- with tbo president and secretary of. the French Chambor of Commerce in London, respecting tho extension of New Zealand trado in France, particularly in produce. Mr Mackenzie detailed the situation in regard to the meat industry, and pointed, out that New Zealand was extending her markets, especially in the United States. Ho suggested that tho nations which were alert now would bo in a better position to secure a share of tho Z\cw Zealand trade than, thoso maintaining Customs barriers. Tho president intimated that ho was anxious to facilitate an increas-o of trado.
