Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather-summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:—

Anti-cyclonic conditions have ruled, with fair to cloudy weather and variable winde.

Present indications ate for variable winds, moderate to."strong easterlies prevailing northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and northcrlies eleewhero; fair to cloudy weather, with increasing: miet and cloudiness. The barometer has a falling tendency.
