DUNEDLiV, May 27
Samuel Scholes, of I'aluiorstou, died suddenly in his trap near Nenthorn. Tixe cause of death is unknown. WELLINGTON, May 27.
A third death has occurred as a result of the lire iv the boarding-house in Courtenay place on May 17th, -when a man and a woman were burned to death. A wharf labourer named J- S. Stevenson, commonly known as Jack Smith, aged 33 years, died at the Hospital this morning. He had severe burns on the face and body, but was making good progress till this morning. When admitted he had influenza, which turned to pneumonia. Hβ was a single man, with relatives at Waimate. WANGANUI, May 27.
A man named William Woods was drowned at Korouiti, up the Wanganui river, through the capsizing of a canoe.
