CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the executivo of tho Cantoris 7 *?°-S, all As»cfation was held last even, ing. Mr B. English was in tho chair, and the foUowing dclagates wero present — Messrs.LKjston (secretary), L. Eoetgatc, W. Connor, W. G. Ives, B. Field, P. G. Gill G. Burgess, P. L. Davies, W. W. Eanway Father Quin, and Dr. Marks. A voto of thanks was passed for the ardent services rendered to tho Association by .the ladies, and Messrs Burgess, Ramsay, and Kuasell, in connexion with tho opening of tbo now ground at Richmond. A vote of sympathy to Mr Alor. Taylor, who broko his log last Saturday, was carried unanimously. Dt. Marks suggested that J .subscription should be taken up amongtbo players. A motion was carried to tho effect thtit the next match, Svdenham v Nomads, be a Taylor benefit match. Permission was granted to the Christchurch Club to play at Ashburton en June 3rd, providing any player picked for the representative team give his services to the Association.
The Christchurch Club forwarded £1 12s to the New Ground Purchase Fund. The secretary's action in substituting Westland for Hawkc's Bay for the match on June 3rd was confirmed.
G. Watson's transfer from Sydenham to the Boys' Gordon Hall was agreed to.
