DRUNKENNESS.
I Nellie Solomon, charged with being a rogue and vagabond, and also with being drunk, said she was willing to go to Mount Magdala. Sho was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, not to bo called pn provided she remained in tho Home for twelve months. Harry Reeves, a second offender for drunkenness, was fined 10si in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Richard F. Farmer was charged with drunkenness, and with obstructing the police. On the latter charge, the accused was convicted, but for being drunk, ho was fined os, in default 24 hours' imprisonment, and a proliibition order was issued against him. George Francis admitted •he was drunk, but did not remember using obscene language or being disorderly. Ho was fined 20s on each charge, in default 14 days' imprisonment. 'Archibald Gilchrist (Mr Leathern) appeared on three charges—that ho was drunk, that he resisted the police, and . that he broke a cab. window, valued at 7s 6d. He was fined 20s on two. of the informations, and convicted oif the charge of resisting tho constable. Accused was further ordered, to make good the damage, and was prohibited for twelve, months. BROKEN ORDERS. Robert H. Edge-worth, for entering the licensed booth at the New Brigh" ton Racecourse while prohibited, was convicted and discharged. Patrick McCabe. charged with, a breach of his prohibition order was also convicted and discharged. ' MAINTENANCE Herbert Theakston Mellish. (Mr Salter) was ordered to pay off the arrears on a maintenance order at th« rate of 12s a week, the order to be suspended m tho meantime. John McGoverin was sentenced to tbree months' imprisonment.
