ELLESMERE PLOUGHING MATCH

COMMITTEE,

I The annual meeting of the EHosmexe Ploughing Matoh Committee was hold at Leoston on Monday, tho president, -Mr H. E. Fiucham, in the chair. Tho secretary reported that tbe committee had a credit balance of £7 2s 4d. A good deal of discussion took placo as to whether it was desirable to form a Ploughing Match Association, and <'t was finally decided not to do co until after the nest match, members of the committee being of tfio opinion that -t was not desirable to form an association until some idea could bo ascertained as to tho number of persons who wouJU become mem bens. i Officers were elected as follow:—Patrons, Hon. It was decided to invite offers of pad-" locks for tho annual match to bo held n July, and a sub-committee was set up to inspect any paddocks offered. Several suggestions were made, and the committee decided to hold a further meeting shortly to draw up the programme.
