SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary aud forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— Fair weather prevailed on Saturday and Sunday, and hard frosts occurred early on Sunday morning in many parts of the country. The ■barometer haa been above normal everywhere.
Preeent indications are for moderate to strong easterly winds, northward of NewPlymouth and Napier, and freshening northerly to westerly winds elsewhere; increasing cloudiness and humidity are probable generally, with unsettled conditions on the West Coast and in the southern districts. The barometer is unsteady with, a falling tendency at present everywhere.
