HAYWARD'S PICTURES.
That London attracts by its glamour was proved once again at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, when a wonderfully fine film entitled "London by Bay and by Night," was "starred" in* tho change of programmo presented. The house was packed in every part, and it is safo to say that every person present, whether he had visited London or merely belonged to the ranks of tiose who hoped some day to see London, was delighted almost beyond expression with, the very complete and meritorious set of views placed before him. No finer film of London has, it is claimed, ever been issued than this one, and the claim is no idle boast. Tho "sights" of the great metropolis are radaq-uiately handled, but what probably appeals far more to the average public is the fact that the every-day life- of the city is not neglected. The visitor has placed before him tho famous theatres of which he has read, the famous streets >of which ho has heard, the famous scenes of night revelry and—always and ever—there is the pulsing life of the streets themselves which, when all is said and done, is an entertainment in itself. An hour is occupied with the presentation of this film, and a more pleasant hour could hardly be imagined. The seconcL half of the programme contains a very good selection of dramatic, comic and topical material. 'The Invisible World," displayed some of the wonders revealed by the microscope, and the "Gaumont Graphic" dealt interestingly with happenings of recent note. Tho Liverpool Grand National proved to be a fine film, and two Keystone comedies filled out a programmo which was interesting in all aspects and dull in none. The orchestra performed with credit, this being particularly the crtse with the mnsic for tho London film. The prolamine will bo shown again this evening.
