THEFT OF POSTAL PACKETS.
(rRES3 ASSOCIATION TELEGIUM.) AUCKLAND, May 25. At the Supremo Court to-day, Norman Trenmin, a postal cadet at Auckland, charged with the theft of a postal packet containing money, and Arthur Gordon Anderson, for a similar offence at Kavr.i Kawn, were each sentenced to twelvo mouths' reformative treatment.
(PKESS ASSOCUTIOX TKi.EGRAM.) ■\\ELLi.\GTO.\\ May 25. At the Supremo Court 10-day, Loo Wye, an aged Chinaman, claimed £242 wages duo from Dr. F. SVallaco JNlacKonzio, in respect cf work done on the latter's farm at Kavrhia. Dr. AlacKonzie countcrclaiiued for £luO for professional services, and declared that the Chinaman was kupt on the farm out of charity. Judgment was entered for plaintiff for £239, and for defendant for £150.
