Tho Now Brighton Motor Boat Club held a race over a 61-inilo course on Saturday afternoon, for prizes presented by Mr L. Keynolds nnd the club. There wero ci_bt_en starters H-ssnlts:— Mischief, handicap llniin .. 1 "Wainui, handicap 36rain 15soc .. 2 Sylvus. handicap Slmin 45sc_ .. 3 Puriri, handicap 35i_in.4Ssec .. 4 Tofiia, handicap 32rniu .. ..3 The fir?t thr-<-o boats finished within two seconds of each other, tbe five placed beats finishing within one minute. This race was the final for the Champion Flag, and in the Eg_3TC*j_tc Ariki won with a margin of 11 _ points. This is tho eccend consecutive, win for this smart littlo craft.
