Having held a very successful clearing salo of live and dead stock on Thursday last, at Burwood, on account Geo. King, Esq., implements and sundries sold well, pigs sold up to £4 10s, Jersey cattle sold at £21, £21, £19, £16 10s, £11 Us, £10 10s, yearling bull £5 os; also a sale of building material on the premises, Gloucester street west. Matson and Co., about Co horses were forward, amongst which were several good draught geldings. The balance of the entry were of a nondescript character, and on a dull market such as at the Present time, anything, nnless it is first-class, is almost unsaleable, and . results'in intermittent sales. The only clase of horse tbat can absolutely be sure of finding a regular customer is a four-year-old draught mare or gelding.
