Suffragettes placed bomlns alongside the pipes conveying water from Loch Katrine to Glasgow, but tho fuse went out before reaching the detonator. An explosion would have cut off half of Glasgow's water supplyA suffragette at Edinburgh gashed Lavery's picture of tho King in the Scottish Academy. She was arrested. Two suffragettes smashed a mummy case in tho British Museum, but the contents were unharmed- One, named was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, and the other to one month. The police raided and occupied the offices of the Women's Political Union. &**d arrested Grace Roe. general secretary, who is charged with conspiring with Nellie Hall, to damage property.
