Mr Dodd has been an officer * of the department for forty years, during which time ho has occupied several . important positions, including those of <_cor, in charge of tho Government .Telegraph Office at tho Cablo Station at-- Waknpuaka, officer iv charge of the - telegraph office at Napier, " and chief postmaster at Wostcort. He has been assistant inspector since Octc-ber, 1912.
