NEW ZEALAND OIL.
MB J. D. HENRY'S NEW BOOK (FBOK OTJE OWN COMtESFONTEEST.) LONDON, April 17. Favourable comments on the cables from New Zealand relating to the recent strikes of oil in the Now Plymouth field have been published in the London newspaper*: Speaking to our London representative today, Mr J. D. Henry said:— "The drilling resulte in the New Plymouth field during the past three montht have increased the confidence of oil men here in the future of! the industry. It is now realised that Now Plymouth is a reliable oil £e?dIt is perfectly true that more finance will be required to organise thoroughly and develop the different branch* of the industry. This wae expected when the company wae ftarted. In oil finance, apart from & few Russian speculations, there is very little doing in the London market at the present time, but it is hoped that negotiations which are ip progress will produce the money which is Deeded to extend the New Zealand industry, and make its complete euocees." Mr Henry added that the company's affaire were having the constant and anxious attention of Lord Banfuriy and the other members of the Board.

It w«e daring my first trip to Use Dominion and b&ck that I wrote the 'Oil Fields cf 2f©w Zealand.'
