"UNCLE TOM'S CABIN."
Inaugural New Zeabnd performances of "Unclq Tom's Cabin" will be given on Monday, June Ist, by George Willoughby's New Dramatic Company. Interpreted by a combination which, includes Mr Cyril Mackay and Miss Nellie Fergusson in leading roles, Messrs Herbert Leigh, Vivian Edwards, J. P. O'Neill, Ronald Riley, Darcey Kelway, Bruce Newham, and the Misses Nell Holroyd, Little Vera Huggett, Rose Terry, Pearl Helmrich, ' Pearl Smith, and Little Dot Proctor, the newlydramatised niueical melodrama with , singing, dancing, ragtime, plantation and" sacred melodies interpolated, presents, in addition to fine stage tableaux, dramatic scenes of great interest. Providing the musical portion are a male quartet—tho New York Jubilee Singers—tho Era Comedy Four: —ragtime, specialists—and the National Duo 7—clever juvenile artiste.. The scenic studios ; include the frozen river, which calls upon the full width and depth resources of the stage, and the waterfall scene. The whole production isunder th© personal supervision of-Mr Lester Brown, of New York, brought specially from America to stage the piece in Sydney. The box plan opens on Thursday next at 9 o'clock.
