APPOIXT3IEXTS TO PSYCHE AXJ) i • PYRAMUS: Roar-Admiral J. P. Rollastb.ii has been placed on the retired list at his own request. Ho received his promotion to flag rank last year. Prior to that he was captain in charge of Garden Island Naval Depot, Sydney. Soino years ago he was captain in H.M.S. Archer on the Australasian Station.

Captain K. F. Bruen. formerly in command of H.M.S. Powerful on tho Australasian Station, is now in conin.and of the battleship Bellcrophon. Captain Bruen is a member of the Committee of Selection for tho promotion of warrant officers to commissioned rank.

Captain Guy R. Gaum. lato in command of the battleship Thunderer, and formerly in H.M.S. Challenger on the Australasian Station, has been appointed to H.M.S. President lor temporary service in the Intelligence Division of the Admiralty .War Staff.

Captain J. It. firid.son, U.X., who commanded H.M.S. Challenger on the Au.scralasian Station from Jlarch, l'JOii, to March, 19U8, and who has been in command of the battleship Doniinion for the la-st two years, has been appointed to succeed R-ear-Admiral Afarescaux as captain in charge and King's harbourmaster at Portland- Captain Uridson wa.s awarded a captain's good service pension of JtloU per annum in •Juw, 11)13.

Lieutensint J. S. Bovill, R.X., late of H.M.S. New Zealand, has been appointed first lieutonunt in the torpedoboat destroyer Phcunix. attached to the First Destroyer Flotilla.

.Lieutenant Cuthbert Coppinger, R.X., formerly of H.M.S. Pyramus, and who since undergoing his navigation course in H.M.S. Drya-d has been assistant navigator in the battleship Collingwqod, has been appointed first and Navigating Lieutenant in H.M.S. Llewellyn, one of the new, torpedo-boat destroyers, which has just been commissioned.

Lieutenant A. Hcnniker-Heaton, formerly in H.M.S. Torch in the New Zealand Naval Division, and late in the battleship Lord Kelson, has been appointed to H.M.S. Natal.

Fleet-Paymaster E. A. Bremner, R.N., who was secretary to Admiral Sir G. l< , . King-Hall on the Australasian Station last year, has been appointed to M.M.S. Diana, and for <luty with group of ships of the Third JiT'ieet.

News has been received of a number of appointments of officers to H.M. ships Psycho and Pyramus, of the Aew Zealand Division, H.M.S. Sirius was to have loft Portsmouth about April 26th., with relief crews for tho Psyche and Pyramus, amd other miscellaneous reliefs for ships of tho New Zealand Division and East Indies Station. The reliefs for the Psycho have been drawn from Portsmouth depot, and those for tho P.vramue from Chatham. The reliefs for the ISast Indies will be disembarked at Colombo, and those for the New Zealand Division at Wellington, where the Sirius is due early next month. '

Lieutenant Nigel 0. Westall, R.N., hasbeen reappoirited Navigator in tho Pyramus on recomniissionihg; StaftSurgeon C. A. G. Phipps has been reappointed to the Pyramus, and MeetPaymaster Mackenzie licask, late of H.M.S. Hecla, is coming out in the Sirius to relieve Paymaster E. P. Rkkcord,.who will return to England. En-gineer-Lieutenant J. C. M. Boyle, late o? JS.M.S. Lizard torpedo-iboat destroyer, will relieve Engineer-Lieut. A. E. E. Rayner, R.N., in the Pyramus. Chief-Artificer-Engineer J, Robson has been reappointed to tho Pyramus.

Lieufc.-Commander V. R. N. Porter, R.N.j late of H.M.S. Natal, has been appointed First Lieutenant in H.M.3. Psyche, in place of Lieut. T. K. Elmsley, R.N. Engineer-Lieut. C. M. Weeks, late of the battle-cruiser Princess Royal, will relieve Engineer-Com-mander E. R Amor m the Peycfie. Lieutenant E. W. Kitson, R.N., Navigator in> the Psyche, has Been reappointed to the ship on recommissioning. Staff-Surgeon R. R. Horley, R.N., late of H.M.S. Vornon, Torpedo School Ship, will have medical charge of the Sirius on the voyage out to Wellington. Hβ will then join H.M.S. Psyche, on recommissioning, in place of Staff-Sur-geon J. H. Lightfoot, who will have medical charge of the Sirius for the voyage Home. Fleet-Paymaster W. F, Wells is coming out in the Sirius to relieve Fleet-Paymaster M. T. B. Fowler in the Psyche, on recommissioning. The latter officer -will join the Sirius for the voyage Home. Assistant-Paymaster X.. E. Worthington has been reappointed to the P.Tvche as Clerk'of the Senior Naval Officer, New Zealand Division.
