WINTRY CONDITIONS TO-DAY.
The. weather experienced in town yesterday was wintry in the extreme. In the early morning there was a slight fall of snow which, however., did not last long, and the signs of which soon disappeared, exvept in particularly shaded places. A driving rain from the south was .experienced in the early part of the day, but later there were brief gleams of sunshine, and about two o'clock the weather looked as if it intended mending. The , respite was brief, however, and the lato aiternoon and evening wore marked by occasional heavy showers, which gave" the city a particularly bleak appearance.
