iVt tihe montJi|y ting of tho Christchurch East branch of tbe- Social Democratic Party, to be held on Tuesday next, the question of selecting a candidate to contest the Christchurch East Seat in the interests of the Social Democratic Party, will be discussed, and if tho meeting so decides, tbo nominations and selection will bo dealt with at tho mooting.

It is stated that the names of Messrs Dowgray, P. J. O'Regan, Gillon and 'Fagan will bo submitted to a plebiscite of the Social Democrats for choice of a representative of Buller at the general election. ,
