In tho Hoiuso of Representatives tnero was a stonewall throughout the night against tho Bill preference to uuionists in the Public Service. Id is still going on. During tho adjournment for tho official luncheon to the Governor-General, the mace mysteriously disappeared from the table of tho House. A protracted search for it was misuccessfui. (Received May 22nd, midnight.) The mace reappeared and was placed on the table. It dropped from the place who'ro a practical joker had hidden it under tho Ministerial bench. Tho No Preference to Unionists Bill was read a eecond timo on the casting vote of the Speaker. Tho sitting continues.
