THE MASTERTON SEAT.

It is stated that Mr A. W. Hogg, who left tho Ward Ministry a * cw years ago, and was subsequently defeated for tho MasfertoD seat, will on ail probability bo a candidate for tho samo seat at the general election. Mr Hogg will, in' that case, come forward as a supporter of Sir Joseph Ward.
Another indication that Liberals and Labour will again be found working together is givon in the statoment made by Mr Hogg that he looks upon the Liberal and tho Labour parties as almost identical, and trusts that thoy will be thoroughly united in tho coming fight.
Mr A. 11. Herbert, who at last election contested the Masterton seat, will again stand as a Reformer. Mr Sykes, tne present member, will also contest the scat.
