THE RAILWAY COLLISION AT DUNEDIN.

DUNEDIN, May 21. The enquiry into the circumstances connected with the death of David Peter Leo Donovan, wbq was killed through two engin&s colliding, was concluded to-day. The Coroner said ho must come to the conclusion £naT Che danger signals had been either overlooked or mistaken by the driver of the Port Chalmers engine, David Dutton.
Mr Macgregor said that amounted virtually to a charge of manslaughter against* Dutton. " The Coroner: I do not think so. It must be shown he did something wrong. Mr Macgregor: It places him in "a very unfortunate position. There is no direct charge made against him even now.
The Coroner remarked that that was his decision.
