CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.

(r-IIEES ASSOOT«TTf»V TET.KRKAM.) .AUCKLAND, May 20.: The hearing of a charge of manslaughter against the motorman of the tram car by ■ which Michel Rohan was knocked down and fatally injured on April 30th, was commenced in tho Police Court to-day. Rohan was employed by -the Tramway Company, and was working as- a surfaceman at the time of the fatality. The hearing was adjourned.
