OPERA HOUSE.

The tango is proving more popular than ever at tho Opera House, and Phillips and Merritt, tho American entertainers and tango dancers had another enthusiastic reception last night. Juno Salmo, the contortionist; Dorothy Harris, the popular American. comedienne, and tho La Stella Trio- of Russian singers, dancers, and instrumentalists, also received a good reception. To-night the programme will be repeated, and on Saturday a special matinee will be given. Messrs Phillips and Merritt are teaching the tango free to all at the Theatre daily, from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m., and from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. Learnera will have the opportunity of competing in the Tango Competitions that, will take ■place shortly, when handsome prizes will be offered by the management.
