A cablegram from London, dated May Bth. said:—Mr Roosovelt, who.is to visit England, has announced his intention of controverting Mr A. H. Savage Landor'e. discoveries in Brazil. Mr Lamlor; interviewed in Pari9,' retorted: "Before Mr Roosovelt does so, I would advise him to penetrate' Brazil afoot,, instead of in a stea~i launch. Hβ seems to havo copied 6ome of'the principal incidents of my voyage, and no-has"' ovon had tho' same sickness and injuries.
