The Bare-Toe Mode.
One of the daintiest of Paris acfresses, Mile. Joanne Provost, has set all Paris talking of a new fashion—tho mode of bare toes (says the correspondent of a London paper). At the dress rehearsal of the play "Concert" at the - {Theatre Rojano she caused a great commotion in the thronged foyer by appearing with her feet shod "in pretty - sandals fastened round her ankles by 'cross-ribbons in the old Greek style. ' '"It is delightful to havo the feet quite • free," she said to those who questioned laer. "Why should women cram themeelves into narrow boots with four-inch : heels?" Jewellers are already having toe rings mado for sandal wearers. - Mile. Provost was the actress who launched tho trouser skirt.
