Miss Mabel Munro, who is appearing afc.Baly's.Theatre, London, has,accepted a contract for an extended 'tour of South Africaj Australia, and New Zealand, for performances in the musical comedies—"The Dancing Mistress, 'The Girl frorft- Utah," and 'The Girl on the Film."
At JTiansi, India, on March 14th, the marriage was solemnised of Arthur Hugh Acland Emnson, of the Bth Cavalry, son of Mr and Mrs Erapson, of Mount Peel, N.Z., to Dorothy Carlyon Gore Browne, daughter of'the Rev. Thirlwall Gore Rector of Fawley, Hampshire.
As.a sequel to his recent visit to the Lnited States, Mr G. S. Munro (late of Christchurch), is joining the executive of the firm of; Armour and Co. of Chicago and tho United Kingdom. This necessitates . his retirement from the firm of G. and R. Munro,- of-Liver-pool, which business will be transferred to Mr Roy Munro and carried on by him. " ,
Tho medical school at Glasgow University which has a very high reputation, will probably have three New. Zealand graduates this year: Dr. T. W. Wylie. Mr A.-M. ■McCntcheon; and Mr P. -Gordon. Dr. A. While visiting at Rugby this week the Hon. E. W. . Parker (son of tho , 6th Earl - of ' Macclesficld, and, formerly" ; chairman of the Canterbury Jockey Club),.'Mr Patrick Campbell metla very well-known figure on the Turf in New Zealand, Mr Robert Hume Campbell, of Glenderule. Mr Campbell, «who owned Craigieburn station, Canterbury, has iv his time run such horses-as Castaway and Lurlino. He has been in England since 1876, and lives near Rugby with his daughter.
