RUGBY.
SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT. A meeting of the Rugby Union's Sevcn-a-Sido Tonrnament Committoe wm hold yesterday evening, Mr F. D. Kesteven presiding. It was decided to close all entries (including thcs3 for the club's relay race) on tho 27th inst. The secretary reported that arrangements had been made with Mr A. Rattray, to provide luncheon on the day of the competition —June 3rd. A request was mado for a ground on Lancaster Park for a game between High School Old Boys and Wellington College Old Boys. It was pomted out that difficulty would De experienced iv finding time for tho matca, and it was decided to suggest that it ehou,d be played on the Oval between 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. It was decided to give gold football pendants to the first, second and third grade winners and silver football pendants to the fourth grade winners. * '
It is anticipated »hat several entries will bo received from teams outside Canterbury, and the indications are that the tournament will eclipse all previous ones held here.
