May IS.The local Reformers are petting busy in view of the general election, and have convened a moeting for Thursday nest- of representatives from all part's of thp electorate to select the Party' 1 ; candidate for the Grey seat. The choice will bo between Mr 11. L. Michel, who contested the by-election, and Mr Jesse Steer. Tho chances aro that tho former will bo selected.
