NEW VALUATION.

TO TH_ EDITOR. OF "TETE PRESS." Sir, —Having received the new valuation for local rating purposes, I notice that the unimproved value of my property has been increased 60 per cent. The previous valuation was quite ._ high as present or past selling values. I would urge all ratepayers to carefully peruse their new valuations, and if the increases are not justified., lodge their objections before the date specified thereon. Do not let the opportunity pass and then blame tho Mayor an-I Council, when the rate notices are issued.—Yours, etc., RATEPAYER.
