Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., mado a number of orders in judgment summons cases.

Robert Buchanan, who did not appear, was ordered to pay "William Piulpott and Sons (Mr Cuningham) the sum of £4 3a, in default four days' imprisonment

H. H. Joblin, who did not appear, was ordered w> pay Booth, Madponald and Co., Ltd., the sum of £7 Is 2d, in default seven days' imprisonment, and to pay Maling and Co., Ltd. £12 I2s Bd, in default 12 days' imprisonment. Mr Rowe appeared tor the.judgment creditors.

Rhoda Chrysell (Mr Cnningham) claimed from Daniel.R. Mahoney the sum of £18 4s 6d for rent, on a judgment summons. The debtor said he

waa a married man with three children, and wag a horse trainer. At the present time ho was training three horses at £1 per week each. Mr Bishop, after hearing tho statement of Mahoney, said that, as a matter of principle, he would order him to pay off the amount of the debt" at the rate of Is per week, in default eight days' imprisonment. Defendant said ho was a labourer, employed casually by the Railway Department. The case was adjourned until May 30th for O'Reilly to furnish a statement of his earnings. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) Angus Donaldson claimed from D. C.Bowen the sum of £1810s on a judgment summons. The matter had been adjourned. An order was made that the amount should be paid, in default 21 days' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended, for 14 days.
