VETERAN MISSIONARY.

(By Cable.—Press Association.—Ce-pyrifhtJ SYDNEY, May 16.

Advice has been received of the death in England of tho Rev. Dr. Robertson, a veteran New Hebrides "missionary, and an Australian.

A Press Association message from Dunedin says the late Dr. Robertson, whose death in- England is cabled frou Sydney, had been stationed at Erromanga Island in the New Hebrides for •13 years. He was about 70 years of ago and left the Island at the end $£ October last on furlough to visit friend in Nova Scotia. He was en his i.uy thero by way of London when his death -Kcurred. <

MONTREAL, May 16. Tho death has occurred of Mr F. D. Monk, ex-Minister of Public Works in tho Borden Cabinet.

Mr Monk was born in Montreal on April 6th, 1856, his father being of English descent, and his mother of French. He was appointed Minister of Public Works in 1911. He was professor of Constitutional Law in the Montreal branch of the Laval University.
