A largely-attended meeting o; the Seargill Mutual Improvement Society was held o;> Thursday ovenieg. Mr Pannet presided. Officer., were elected as follow: —President. Mr T. E. Roberts; vice-presidents, Mrs 11. Jones and Mr W. H. Foster; corresponding secretaries. Miss 1-. Pannet ai\d Miss .Ma.--Innes: committee. Mr and Mrs HJones, Mrs J. Cameron, and Mis.s Collins. It was decided to meet once a fortnight throughout tho winter months.
