DUNEDIN, May 16. PyUgbv results:—Southern (14) beat Port (nil); 'Varsity (8) beat Zingart (s):Albarubra (8) drew with Union (3); Kaikorai (24) beat Dunedin (6). (srecut ro '"the ritESs.") DUNEDIN, May 16. Hail -bowers and rain over-night left the grounds heavy for to-day's matches. Tho principal attraction was the game between -iHveJsity and Zingari, .Informer winning by 8 to 5. All the points vvaru scored in tho first epoll\Vitl-_-_ mado a fine opening, and gave Harris an easy try, Pilling converting. Then, from a forward rush, Russell scored for Zingari, Bell converting, ■making the .cores equal. Just on halftime, Withers (tho 'Varsity wing threoipiartcr. beat all tho opposition, and .cored a try. Play in tho second spell was tight, compared with the first half. Southern hud an easy win against Port Cbilmors, whom they beat by li points to nil. Tho North Find teams, Alhambra and Union, had a "resit struggle, the game ending in a d__^—3 all. Ka'korai bad an easy win against Dunedin, heating them by 24 points to 6.
University. Southern and Kaikorai are tieing for the premiership with 4 wins each.
Varsity have -.cored 92 point, in four games with 14 points registered against thorn. Southern have ecor_d 85, with 17 against, and Kaikorai 55 with 14 against. The premiership will thus furnish a close finish between tk-_e three teams.
