The evidence showed that she abstracted from the mail at Newburv, where. her mother was postmistress, a lettfcr for Mr Alex. K. Mitchellj farmer, containing a cheque for £116s, sent by the. New Zealand Loan ami Mercantile Agency Company for stock received. The girl soon disappeared. She- pleaded guilty and was committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence. UOTICB TO ADVERTISERS.
