. RUPTURE. To-day (Saturday) May 16th, at 3 p.m., Mr A. W- Martin, rupture specialist and Solo Controller of the Dr. J. A. Sherman method of treatment mil bring his eighth visit to Christchurch to a close, and will leave for Wellington the came evening. Prospective patients should understand, therefore, that the time is extremely limited during which they- can avail themselves of this, the only scientific method of dealing with their malady. It is an extraordinary question to ask, and one which will never be satisfactorily answered, but, if only to cans© reflection, let it be asked: Why will people continue to sujrer excruciating agony,* continuous discomfort, and perpetually bear about with them a disfiguring badge of servitude in the form of a truss, when they know that numbers of people have been permanently cured in this city, as in all other parts of Australasia, by a means which is as available to themselves as it has been to others? The truss does not cirre; operations are speculative and risky, and in a number of cases, trusses have to bo resorted to afterwards. The Dr. Sherman method of treatment gives immediate relief and ultimate cure. Patients are warned that they may travel the whole world in search-of a cure for rupture, and yet will be unable to find, approaching in merit the Dr. J. A. Sherman method of treatment, for those who have at great expense searched far and wide for relief before coming to Mr Martin have invariably admitted that his method of treatment is tbo only method ever brought before them, and the only one which in any -way proved satisfactory. Suiferors will p_lease bear in mind that on acconnt of the pressing calls trom sufferers elsewhere, Mr Martin cannot poseibly extend the time of his s..ay here. He.closes in Christchurch, as statod above, to-day (Saturday), the 16th, at p.m. , , y All. consultations are free.
