SUMNER GALA.

The Sumner Gala, one of the popular outdoor fixtures of the season, will take place to-day. An attractive programme of events has been arranged, including rowing races, yachting, and motor-boating events and land sports. With fine weather, the function should prove a big success. Id connexion with the gala, the ordinary Saturday time-table will be run, and the quarter-aourly service will be continued till the 7.15 p.m. trip from the Square and the 7.30 p.m. trip from Sumner, after which trams will leave the Square at 7.45, 8.15, 8.45, 9.15, 10 0. 10.30, 11-10 p.m., and leave Sumner at 8.1.-8.31, 9.1, 9.31. 10.0., 10.16, 10.46, and 11.14 p.m. Seaside excursion tickets (Cd return) will not be sold-
