PRESBYTERIAN CEURCE. Tho first annual meeting oi tho New Brigiiton Presbyterian Cnurcn was held in tne Presbyterian Hall on Wednesday .evening. Mr P. Hercus, "chairman of St. Paul's Church Extension Committee, presided, and some seventy or eighty members and friends of the congregation wero present. 'L'lie chairman of the committee, Mr A. Robb, presented the annual report, which showed that the first meeting of the Mission was held in tho schoolroom on December 15th, 1912, with an attendance of twenty-live. Following this a committee was formed, and a question of building discussed, and a scheme formulated. A site had been I obtained some ten years previously, ■ largely by the efforts of Mrs White and Mrs Muff. St. Paul's Church Extension Committee liberally assisted the scheme, with the result that on August 31st last year the present building was opened. The cost, including organ and furnishing, amounted to £677. Morning and evening services had been held every Snnday since the opening of the new building. The Sunday School had made splendid progress. The first Sunday's scholars totalled four, and there were now 72 on the roll. The total money raised during tho twelve months for purely local church purposes was £148 16s Id. The report was adopted on the motion of Mr Moore, and was carried unanimously. Mr Tennent moved a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring committee, which was seconded by Mr Hercus., and carried. Messrs W. Moore Bruce, junr.. and Campbell, junr.. were elected a Young Men's Committee for' the ensuing year. The General Committee have yet to be elected The Sunday School prizes were presented during the evening by the Missioned Mr J. Tennent. "Refreshments, provided by the-ladies of the Mission, and musical items by members of the choir, concluded a successful gathering.
